Each new month brings new happenings and we have your list of can’t-miss events in the Bay Area this October. From fall festivals and haunted houses to concerts and cultural celebrations, celebrate fall with one or more of these events on your social calendar:


Oct. 1 - 9 | Fleet Week  

The city salutes the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard with a week-long schedule of events, with air shows featuring the iconic Blue Angels on Oct 6-8 and other events throughout the week. For more information, click here.

Oct. 6 | Downtown Burlingame First Friday

Oct. 6 - 8 | Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival

Bluegrass fans unite at this free music event and street fair that promises more than 90 acts on seven stages. For more information, click here.

Oct. 7 - 8 | Los Altos Fall Festival

Celebrate the new season with a two-day festival boasting a classic car show, live music, a fine wine and beer tent, a children’s alley for the kids, and amazing local flavors. For more information, click here.

Oct. 7 - 8 | San Carlos 2017 Art & Wine Faire & Car Show

Oct. 13 - 31 | Halloween Candlelight Tour

In one of America’s most legendary haunted mansions, this guided tour through 160 Victorian rooms is lit only by candlelight and makes for a fun and frightful night out. For more information, click here.

Oct. 14 | Peninsula Oktoberfest

The Hiller Aviation Museum will transform into a classic German beer garden complete with a wide selection of beers, bratwurst, sauerkraut, and other fine fares as well as entertainment straight from Munich. For more information, click here.

Oct. 21 | Palo Alto Philharmonic

Calling all music lovers to the Palo Alto Philharmonic for the kickoff of its 30th season with “Dances with Flute” featuring Principal Flutist Natalie Haworth-Liu performing Johannes Brahms’ beautiful Symphony No. 3, Op. 90. For more information, click here.

Oct. 28 - 29 | Burlingame Fall Fest
